Wallowa County GIS is responsible for development and maintenance of the County’s digital spatial databases as well as providing technical support and mapping services to County departments, citizens, local governments, and businesses.
GIS provides the ability to assist in the decision making process by providing an additional tool to analyze geographic data layers and databases.
GIS is utilized in Wallowa County for land use planning, property assessment, transportation, public safety (911), addressing, emergency response, fire protection analysis, noxious weeds, and natural resource management.
