Welcome to Wallowa County, Oregon
Surrounded by the Eagle Cap Wilderness, glacial lakes, working ranches, and the wide open spaces of Eastern Oregon, it is considered one of the seven Wonders of Oregon, and the gateway to Hells Canyon.
Where we are
Wallowa County is located in the far northeast corner of Oregon, and is bordered by the states of Washington and Idaho and home to Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, Wallowa Lake, and the Eagle Cap Wilderness Area.
Wallowa County is known for its natural beauty, pristine landscapes, outdoor recreation, farm & agriculture, artist community, the Nez Perce tribe, and small town living. Our rural and frontier remoteness makes Wallowa County unique.
