Wallowa County Health Department serves people of all ages and income levels through a variety of programs. The health department is a non-profit organization funded through state and federal grants and fees collected for services. No county general funds are used in the operation of the department.
Services include nutrition education and support with the WIC program, home visiting for child development screening, support for families with children living with disabilities, family planning and pregnancy prevention services, childhood and adult immunizations, planning for emergencies within the county, community tobacco prevention, and restaurant/food service inspections and licensures. We are located on NW 1st Street, also known as the flora highway. Our office is within the community services complex that also houses Community Connections, Safe Harbors, Head Start, and the OSU Extension Office. Enter the parking lot and drive behind community connections to the rear building closest to Les Schwab Tire Center.
